Congratulations, you're engaged!

Welcome to Tie the Knot with T, where love is celebrated in all its forms, without boundaries or limitations, and weddings are as unique as the beautiful landscapes of New Zealand.

There are no rules here with me, only the freedom to create a ceremony that reflects the individuality and the beautiful intricacies of your life together as a couple. Whether you envision a traditional ceremony, an intimate gathering, or something no one may have ever done before, I am here to craft and officiate the ceremony that resonates with your love, beliefs and passions.
If the dress is code black, or neon colours, if you've told everyone to prepare for a shot of vodka to seal the vows, or if you're going to have your babies (human and fur) up the front with you - count me in!
Whatever ideas you have (or don't have) so far, flick me an email and let's go through the process together.
About Me
Hey, I'm Teresa, the one who helps you Tie the Knot.

The idea of being able to offer something truly special to people, during one of the most significant moments of their lives, was pretty bloody neat to me. So in 2021 I became a celebrant, making me one of New Zealand's youngest Marriage & Civil Union Celebrants!
Speaking of love, I'm a bit obsessed with planes, I'm a big fan of Elvis, and I'll order any cocktail that's pink & tastes like berries. My Kiwi family have always had pets, and I now have my own beautiful big Rotti x Mastiff.

I believe that I capture part of the essence of a young Kiwi - not too stressed about the small things, down-to-earth, always laughing, and always looking forward to celebrating anything & everything. If that's what you've been looking for in a celebrant, then here I am!

Requirements
You
We kind of need you two! I'll need you to provide me with a copy of a valid photo ID and if you have previously been married, I will also need the proof of dissolution.
Licence
You will need to order + pay for the Marriage Licence yourselves within 3 months of your wedding date. The Marriage Licence costs $150 (+ $33 for a Marriage Certificate) and can be ordered here.
Witnesses
You must have two witnesses present with us on the day. It’s entirely up to you who you’d like to have as your witnesses, and they can be pretty much anyone you want.
Vows
Whether you'd like to write a long, heartfelt letter or say the least amount possible, there are a few specific words that myself & the witnesses will need to hear you say.
Helpful Info & FAQs
Who will I marry?
Everyone & anyone - love doesn’t judge and neither do I. I'm here to honor and officiate the unions of all couples, celebrating all love, regardless of gender or orientation.

What will I say?
Depending on the style of ceremony you choose, I can say whatever you’d like me to, or we can stick to the set script.

What will I wear?
While I have a few outfits I tend to go for (usually with a colourful pair of heels) I will always make sure I am coordinated & aligned with the style of your big day.

Where will I travel?
I can legally solemnize marriages anywhere in New Zealand, which is great because I love traveling around our beautiful country! There may be additional costs if your venue location is outside the Franklin region.

How much will I charge?
My pricing structure is straightforward: a flat rate of $585 for all ceremony styles. This means you have complete freedom to customise your ceremony as you wish, without being constrained by additional costs for changes or requests. Your vision for the perfect ceremony is my priority and I'm here to ensure it's exactly as you imagine, without any financial limitations holding you back.

Is there a deposit?
Yes, I do require a $100 non-refundable deposit to lock in your date and the remaining fee must be paid within 2 weeks prior to your wedding day.
What happens if I suddenly can’t make it?
The show will go on! I will have another amazing celebrant ready to go.

What happens if YOU can’t make it?
While any payments made will be non-refundable, I committed to helping find a favourable solution for all involved.
